Young Ballymun

Welcome to Youngballymun’s new look Website

Our new website reflects a new phase for the staff and board of Youngballymun. Over the past year, many discussions have taken place to plan and map the way forward for the organisation into the future.

Here in Ballymun we offer supports to both parents and practitioners through a range of evidence-based programmes.

Youngballymun recognises that parenting is difficult and stressful at times. We work with parents from pre-birth onwards to support them in their role as parents and to focus on the importance of the parent – child bond through programmes like Baby Massage, Talk & Play Everyday, The Circle of Security® Parenting™ and Incredible Years Parenting Programmes.  We also support parents to develop their children’s reading, writing and talking skills with programmes like Story Sacks and Breakfast Buddies. Another important element of our work is building the capacity of practitioners with a focus on Infant and Early Years Mental Health, the Incredible Years and our Family and Community Language and Literacy Programmes. We  work side by side with local practitioners co-delivering  various programmes such as Circle of Security, Incredible Years, Story Sacks and Breakfast Buddies. Click here

As an active member of the Area Based Childhood Programme  (ABC’s), which is now aligned to the Prevention Partnership & Family Support (PPFS) strand of Tusla, Youngballymun will also continue its link with the twelve other ABC’s around the country to ensure collaboration and continuity in our response to the needs of families and children.  We will join with the other ABC’s in constantly advocating for and highlighting the importance of  prevention and early intervention  to ensure   better outcomes for children later in life.
